Obviously Jamie Seymour is an artist with a really great eye. I became aware of Jamie and his talents on the HOTROD.com bulletin board. I had been wanting to get a drawing done of my project but really didn't even think that something like this would be of any interest for someone to do. And if someone was interested in doing it, they would probably want a lot of money. Chip FOOSE charges upwards of $5000 to do one of his famous drawings, and in no way shape or form would I consider that kind of scratch for this project.

Then Jamie made a pitch on the bulletin board to draw people's car, I thought this is was a great opportunity and I just had to see if he would do it. Lucky for me, he agreed to do it. And best of all, he was very reasonable with his price. He collected some details about the car, and a few weeks later, I had the initial drawing you see above.

A week or so later, I got another email from Jamie with the first cut at color (see below). We exchanged a few emails with some changes, and now he is off to do what could be a final rendering. Perhaps there could be some additional changes to make, but we shall see.

A couple of weeks later, I got a drawing with the rims and disk brake details. If you open the full picture, and zoom in on the front wheel, you can read the name of the wheel manufacturer.

Jamie and I then exchanged emails on the details of the flames I wanted to put in the racing stripes. All I had to do was say I want real flames colored in blue, and he whipped it out.

A few days later, he sent me this final rendering with the two pictures together and a really nice background. I gave me the A-OK, and he sent be a really large, high resolution jpeg that I can take to Kinko and get printed poster size. All this for just a few hundred dollars. Best of all, this is MY CAR. This isn't someone else's idea of what a Camaro should look like. This is my car, with my ideas, and all approved by ME! The grill is custom by Clint Hart; The head lights in the chin is custom by Clint Hart; The door handles are custom by Clint Hart; The paint and flames in the stripes are custom ideas by me, rendered by Jamie Seymour. What better conversation piece to take to a car show than a rendering of your own car.
