Charles McDonald and his son are restoring a 1979 Corvette. Unfortunately I know virtually nothing about fiberglass bodies, so I can't provide much help outside of sheer encouragement. From the looks of it, this Vette should be a real sleeper. I don't think 1979 was a particularly good year in the performance department. And the engine they are installing should provide more than double the HP of the stock motor. She should purr like a kitten. A Bengal tiger that is.

Updated 6/4/2006. Charles is planning on painting the car very soon. As you can see from the pictures below the car is nearly ready for color. This should be a very nice car when it is done. Perhaps he will drive up and show it to me in person? :-D
